The state’s Health Services Department says703 new cases of COVID-19 or 10.1 percent of test results came back positive Monday for the coronavirus. The 6,992 test results were the lowest amount for a single day in the past week. Forty-nine of the state’s 72 counties had new cases as the state continues to see an upward trend in the percentage of test results coming back positive for the virus. Two new deaths were also reported bringing the toll since the outbreak began to 846.

Winnebago County continues to see double-digit daily increases in its number of COVID-19 cases with 17 new cases Monday bringing its totals to 864 cases and 14 deaths. Dodge County had 6 new cases yesterday and 13 since last Friday giving it 570 cases and with 1 new death a total of 6 deaths. The number of cases in Fond du Lac County grew to 448 yesterday and the county has seen six deaths from the coronavirus. Green Lake County has no new cases and has had 47 total cases and Marquette County had 1 new case putting its totals at 58 cases and 1 death. Waupaca County Public Health reports an increase with 235 cases and 1 new death bringing that toll to 14 deaths and Waushara County reported 3 new cases bringing its total since the pandemic began to 55 cases.
