Wisconsin’s Department of Health Services Wednesday showed a slight decline in people testing positive for COVID-19 with 821 or 5.9 percent of the 13,925 test results that came back. It was the third straight day of decline for those testing positive. There have been 38,727 cases reported in the state since the outbreak began. Yesterday also saw one additional death bringing that toll to 827. Fifty-eight of the state’s 72 counties reported new coronavirus cases Wednesday.

Winnebago County moved past 800 COVID-19 cases yesterday with 16 new cases giving it 804 total cases and 14 deaths.  Nine new cases were reported in Dodge County putting its totals at 537 cases with 5 deaths. Fond du Lac County had 4 new cases Wednesday giving it 408 cases with 6 deaths. Green Lake County’s total number of cases remained at 43 and Marquette County reported 2 new cases putting its totals at 55 cases with 1 death.  Waupaca County moved beyond 200 cases with 5 new cases Wednesday giving it a total of 202 with 13 deaths. Waushara County Health Department reported 1 new case putting the county’s total at 48 since the pandemic began.
