Thrasher Opera Offers The Cedar Ridge Sessions

12 July 2020 News

In addition to the new and intimate 506 Sessions being held at the historic Thrasher Opera House in downtown Green Lake in the upcoming weeks, Thrasher is also offering a new outdoor series called, the Cedar Ridge Sessions. The concert series combines music and nature, offering outdoor shows in a peaceful, countryside setting. Audience members should bring their lawn chairs, and any picnic style snacks they’d like. We ask no beverage carry-ins, there will be a bar available. Settle in and enjoy the sunset while experiencing live music like we’ve never offered before! Only 30 tickets are available for each show. The concert will be held on the property of Cedar Ridge Ranch, located at W14471 Dartford Road, Ripon, WI.

To help keep everyone as safe as possible, things might look a little different than your typical outdoor concert.  Although wearing a mask during the outdoor performance is optional (but encouraged), patrons will be required to wear one during the temperature screening at check-in. Please check out all of our Wellness Initiatives by visiting our website…and thank you for your understanding and continued support of the Thrasher Opera House!

Line-up includes:  Natty Nation on August 8, 2020. Critically-acclaimed hard roots rock reggae outfit Natty Nation is a collective of spiritual warriors. For over twenty years, the Madison, Wisconsin-based group has purely and fearlessly followed its inner artistic continuum. Along the way, Natty Nation has burst through genres while retaining a distinct roots reggae core.

Auralai on August 15, 2020. With Stephanie Tschech providing a foundation of cello and voice, complemented by multi-instrumentalist Nate Lehner, Auralai combines the best of classical beauty with pop-esque rhythm and melody. Stephanie’s abstract but vivid lyrics and complex yet catchy rhythm and melodies make for an ethereal mood, sometimes haunting, sometimes hilarious, always fiercely engaging. No slave to both conventional songwriting and classical cello form, Auralai brings a much needed fresh breed of indie-pop music that is nothing short of captivating.

Harmonious Wail on August 29, 2020. The members of Harmonious Wail are purveyors of Americana-infused Gypsy Jazz, who continue to take their listeners on a ride via the music of the Hot Club sounds of Parisian cafes, to the deepest blues of the Memphis Delta, to the heartfelt folk scenes across every-town-America. This harmonious clique are sublime entertainers, great educators, and lifters of spirits.

All concerts are $35 each. Door and bar are open at 5:15 p.m. Concert begins at 6 p.m.  For ticket purchase and more info, check out the web at www.thrasheroperahouse.com or call the office at 920-294-4279.
