COVID 19 Report Wednesday

State health officials reported 256 new COVID-19 cases Wednesday or 2.6 percent of the 9,662 new test results that came back. Since testing began earlier this year there have been 23,454 cases, while more than 423,736 people have tested negative for the coronavirus. Department of Health Services officials also report 17,613 or 75 percent of patients have recovered from the virus. Nine new deaths were also reported yesterday bringing the state’s death toll from the virus to 712.

Winnebago County continues to see double-digit daily increases in COVID-19 cases with 14 new cases Wednesday bringing the county’s total to 551 and they also reported 1 new death bringing that total to 10. Dodge County reported 1 new case and 1 new death bringing its totals to 425 cases and 5 deaths. Fond du Lac County had 1 new case and has had 276 cases and 6 deaths. There have been 24 cases in Green Lake County and Marquette County has reported 9 cases and 1 death.  Waupaca County had 3 new cases and 1 new death bringing its totals to 83 cases and 2 deaths, and Waushara County held steady at 18 cases.
