The number of new COVID-19 cases in Wisconsin plunged to 173 or 2.3 percent of the 7,368 test results that were returned Sunday. That’s 3 percent lower than the number of positive cases Saturday, which saw 523 new cases. Four more people also died of the virus bringing the death toll in the state since the outbreak began to 592. The cumulative total of coronavirus cases in Wisconsin is now at 18,403. The Department of Health Services says 2,583 people have been hospitalized during the pandemic.

Dodge County joined Winnebago and Fond du Lac counties over the weekend with more than 200 cases of COVID-19. Winnebago County has 244 cases with 7 deaths; Fond du Lac County has 213 cases with 5 deaths, and Dodge County 221 cases with 2 deaths.  Green Lake County is reporting 20 cases, Marquette County reported 1 new case over the weekend and now has 4 cases of COVID-19 with one death, Waupaca County has 41 cases and 1 death, and Waushara County has 8 cases.
