COVID 19 Report Sunday

The state’s Department of Health Services reported 356 new COVID-19 cases Sunday out of 5,825 test results. That represents 6.1 percent of the tests and brought the total number of cases in the state to 12,543. But the new cases were down from Saturday’s total of 502 new cases the largest one-day total since the outbreak began. But there were no new deaths to report Sunday although later in the day Appleton officials reported one. Officially the death toll in the state stands at 453.

Fond du Lac County got some help testing for the pandemic Saturday when a National Guard team set up a collection site in Fairwater.  Fond du Lac County has seen 139 cases of the pandemic with 3 deaths. Winnebago County has reported 123 cases and 1 death. Dodge County has 105 cases and 1 death. Green Lake County added a new case over the weekend and now has 11. Marquette County holds steady with 3 cases and 1 death, Waupaca County has 17 cases and 1 death, and Waushara County has reported 5 cases of the pandemic.
