Fatal Accident Reported In Winnebago County

A 57-year-old Dale man was killed in a single-vehicle accident in Winnebago County’s Town of Winchester Sunday evening. Sheriff’s officials say Julio de Arteaga was heading south on Bison Road near County Road II and failed to negotiate a curve. His van left the road, went into a ditch, and collided with an embankment. He died at the scene. The accident was reported shortly before 7:30 Sunday night.
