Dodge Sheriff Questions Extension Of Governor’s Order

In his latest column Dodge County Sheriff Dale Schmidt is questioning the constitutionality of the governor’s extension of the Safer at Home order. He asked his deputies to contact him before taking any enforcement action. He’s asking the governor to reevaluate the order and notes several legal challenges will be filed against the extension of the order. Schmidt thanked those that have complied with the order to slow the spread of the COVID-19 virus. He says it is crucial that we begin to open up our economy for the safety of citizens who need to provide for their families and pay bills.
