Oshkosh Hit And Run Death

The 47-year-old man who drove his SUV into Lake Winnebago following a hit-and-run accident in Oshkosh died. Oshkosh Police say the man passed away from his injuries at the hospital he was taken to following Tuesday morning’s incident. After rear ending a passenger car on South Main Street and 6th Avenue the man took off. The driver of the passenger car followed him and witnessed the man drive his SUV off the boat ramp of the 24th Avenue boat launch into Lake Winnebago. The Oshkosh Fire Department got him out of the SUV and took him to a local hospital where he died. The hit and run accident was reported at 10:39 a.m. Tuesday morning.
