Oshkosh Teen Asks For Change Of Venue In Attempted Homicide Trial

12 March 2020 News

The Oshkosh teen accused of trying to kill an Oshkosh West High School Resource Officer has requested a change of venue. Lawyers for 17-year-old Grant Fuhrman Wednesday submitted the motion asking for a jury from another county. Fuhrman is charged with attempted first degree intentional homicide in Winnebago County court. He allegedly used a barbecue fork to stab Officer Michael Wissink several times in the neck in Wissink’s office at the school on December 3rd. A change of venue request is usually submitted when a defendant’s lawyers believe pre-trial publicity in a case puts chances of a fair trial at risk. A motion hearing is scheduled for March 30th.
