A 36-year-old Beaver Dam man shot by a police officer during a domestic dispute in October of 2018 has been sentenced to 3 years of probation and nine months in jail. Richard Henke was sentenced Monday in Dodge County court. He suffered non-life threatening injuries during the incident in which he pointed a rifle at Beaver Dam Police Officer Brian Linzenmeyer. The officer believed Henke was going to kill him and the woman Henke had been dragging by the hair so he shot Henke. The Dodge County District Attorney’s Office cleared Linzenmeyer in the shooting saying it was justified.
