D’Mitrik Trice’s 3-pointer late in the second half put the Badgers up by six, and they held on for an 81-74 victory over No. 19 Michigan on Thursday night. Trice finished with 28 points for Wisconsin, which snapped the Wolverines’ five-game winning streak and extended its own winning streak to five. The Badgers (18-10, 11-6 Big Ten) never trailed in the game and repelled every Michigan push in the second half. The Wolverines cut a 14-point deficit to three, but after a Wisconsin timeout with 2:50 remaining, Trice sank his 3-pointer to double the lead. Defending D3 champions UW-Oshkosh, defeated UW–La Crossed to advance to the WIAC men’s championship by defeating UW-La Crosse 76-68 in OT.  Jack Flynn scored 24 points while Adam Fravert scored 23. The Titans will now host UW-Eau Claire, who knocked off top seed UW-Platteville. Tip-off is scheduled for 9 p.m. on Saturday at the Kolf Center. The UW-Oshkosh women defeated top seed UW-Whitewater, 81-65. Leah Porath scored 22 points, while Katie Ludwig had 15 points off the bench. The Titans will now play at UW-Eau Claire at 4 p.m. on Saturday.

The Green Bay Phoenix score in the triple digits for the first time since playing Division III Concordia-Chicago December 18th, winning102-92 Thursday over Youngstown State. Both teams were tied for third place in the conference at 9-7.  Six Phoenix scored in double digits and  JayQuan McCloud led the way with 23 points.

In the NBA tonight, Oklahoma City plays the Bucks in the Milwaukee.

In Cactus League baseball on Thursday the Brewers beat the Royals 4-2 in Maryvale. Today, Milwaukee hosts the Dodgers.  First pitch is at 2:05 p.m.
