Fire Destroys Home In Van Dyne

Fire destroyed a home and a garage in Van Dyne early Wednesday morning. Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s officials say it began in the garage at N9574 High Street and spread to the home. Diane and Dennis Becker who lived in and owned the home made it safely out and no injuries were reported. The fire was started by smoking materials that had recently been consumed in the garage. Firefighters were dispatched to the home at 4:36 am. The Red Cross is assiting the Beckers. Nine fire departments responded to the fire.
