Snowmobiler Rescued From The Wolf River

Waupaca County Sheriff’s officials say a snowmobiler was rescued from the Wolf River late Friday night. They received a 9-1-1 call from the operator of the snowmobile at 11:48 pm. The sled had been going south on the river when it hit open water and that person was clinging to the ice. The New London Fire Department was able to rescue the snowmobiler. The incident happened on the Wolf River south of County Highway X in the Town of Mukwa. The DNR is investigating the incident.
