Waupun Murder Suspect Bound Over For Trial

The 31-year-old Waupun man suspected of killing his grandmother waived his preliminary hearing in Fond du Lac County court Friday. Gregory Spittel will stand trial for the death of 75-year-old Carol Foreman. She was found in the basement of his home last August 24th with serious head injuries and died several days later. Spittel was initially charged in two separate cases, but none of those charges were connected to Foreman’s death. Last August officers responded for a medical call to his home. He was drunk and screaming. He allegedly confronted and threatened police.
