Fond du Lac Police are investigating a possible child abduction attempt in the city. It happened between 5:30 and 6 Saturday evening in an alley way between East Johnson Street and East Follett Street. A witness saw a man in a blue-colored pick-up truck stop and talk to a 3-year-old child that was playing near the alley. The driver opened the door of the truck while talking with the child. The witness confronted the driver who took off in the Chevy Silverado extended-cab truck. There was a “Teacher’s Pet” bumper sticker on the back of the truck. The driver was a white-man in his mid-to-late 50s. He was heavy set, about 5 foot 6 inches tall with white stubby facial hair. He also had a birth mark on his face near his left eye. Anyone with information is asked to call the Fond du Lac Police Department at (920) 906-5555 or the Crime Alert number at (920) 322-3741.
