Puppy Saved From Fox River

31 January 2020 News

A puppy in Oshkosh got a lot of help when it fell through ice on the Fox River Thursday morning. It happened around 8 am near the Wisconsin Street Bridge. Bystanders who saw the dog fall in tried to rescue it using a long extension cord, but the puppy was too weak to bite down hard enough to get pulled out. Then the Oshkosh Fire Department showed up and a firefighter in a special water suit went in after it. They were both eventually pulled to safety. Fire Department officials say when they last saw the puppy it was shivering but okay.
