Poynette Man Killed In Collision With Utility Truck

Columbia County authorities have released the name of the Poynette man who was killed when an Alliant Energy Truck collided with his car Friday morning in the Town of Dekorra. Sixty-six-year-old Stephen Riggins died at the scene. Sheriff’s officials say the utility truck went through a stop sign at the intersection of County Highway CS and County Highway V. The truck driver was not injured. Alliant Energy and their driver have been cooperative in the investigation. The collision happened at 9:20 Friday morning.
