The family of a 9-year-old Wautoma boy suffering from a terminal form of cancer is thanking those responsible for making his dream come true during the Wautoma-Wild Rose high school wrestling meet Tuesday night. Miguel Duran wrestled his friend Christian Weiss, a high school wrestler, and afterwards was presented with a high school letter and letterman’s jacket. Final Cut Apparel & Decals of Wautoma and one their suppliers donated the jacket. The family says after the meet Miguel was on top of the world. They say he wanted to sleep in the jacket. They added it’s a small thing to them, but huge for him. The cancer was in remission, but returned and with no cure he has two to three months to live. Those who would like to help the family with medical costs can send them to the Associated Bank, P.O. Box 750, Wautoma, WI. 54982. Checks should be made out to Iris Duran.
