Wild Rose Kiwanis will offer a delicious breakfast of scrambled eggs, pancakes and sausage from 7:30 - 10:30 on Saturday, September 21, for Wild Rose Classic Car Show exhibitors and visitors. It will be held in the Wild Rose Lions Building, just south of the village. In addition, Kiwanis will be selling special day lily plants from 7:30 - 2, also at the Lions Building. One of the Wild Rose Kiwanis members is Darrel Apps, a nationally known day lily hybridizer. Dr. Apps has given a variety of named day lily varieties and selected seedings to the Kiwanis to be sold as a fundraising project. All the day lily plants will be sold bare-root, two plants each, with clearly marked labels. Pictures of each day lily will be available. The Pancake Breakfast and Day Lily Sale are Wild Rose Kiwanis fundraisers and the proceeds, as always, will be entirely used to benefit the community. Credit cards, as well as cash or checks, will be accepted.
