Spring House Cleaning Can Benefit the Historic Thrasher Opera House.

Green Lake, Wis. (March 28, 2023) - Spring has always been a great time for cleaning up and cleaning out.  As warm weather approaches and the spring house cleaning mood finally hits, perhaps you will find some lightly used, unneeded treasures while digging through your closets, garages, and attics, or have items left after the area’s local city-wide garage sales! Please consider recycling them by donating them to the historic Thrasher Opera House downtown Green Lake.

Thrasher is seeking good, clean, high-quality, new, or lightly used condition items, antiques, and treasures for our annual Harvest of Bargains Sale scheduled for Saturday & Sunday, September 23 & 24, during Harvest Fest 2023 in downtown Green Lake.

Artwork, home décor, and furniture (accepted in May) are great items to donate for Harvest of Bargains and are always in high demand.  Thrasher does not accept clothing, mattresses, electronic items, large appliances, liquids, or other items.  If unsure about an item, call the office for a complete list or visit our website at www.thrasheroperahouse.com under the Our Events tab.

If you have items to donate, please call the Opera House at (920) 294-4279 to arrange drop-off.

Please help support our sale by donating quality items and receiving a tax deduction. All proceeds from these sales have helped support our mission to promote the arts, provide a community-gathering place, and preserve the historic Thrasher Opera house, a non-profit 501(c) 3 organization—special thanks to Shoreline for their help with storage for Harvest of Bargains.

Thrasher Opera House’s mission is to promote the arts and the power of live performance, provide a community gathering place, and preserve the historic Thrasher Opera House—a charming, intimate, friendly venue with excellent acoustics. Built in 1910, restored in 1997, and on the National Register of Historic Places. Seats 200.  For more information, please visit www.thrasheroperahouse.com
