Roots Band Session Americana Returns to Thrasher on April 22

Green Lake, Wis. (April 03, 2023) – Session Americana will perform at Thrasher Opera House in Green
Lake, Wisconsin, on Saturday, April 22, at 7:30 p.m. A cast of top-shelf players, singers, and writers who
tour internationally, taking their songs, plus hundreds more from the American songbook, on the road.
Session Americana is an American roots music band known for its collaborative and improvisational
performance style. Founded in 2003 in the Boston area, the band consists of a rotating cast of musicians
who play a wide range of instruments, including guitar, mandolin, fiddle, banjo, bass, and drums. One of
Session Americana's most distinctive features is their use of a single microphone during live
performances, which gives their shows an intimate and communal feel. The band members often swap
instruments and take turns singing lead vocals, creating a collaborative and improvisational atmosphere.
Session Americana has released several albums, including their most recent, "North East," released in
2019. With their unique approach to live performance and eclectic blend of musical styles, Session
Americana has become a beloved and influential band in the American Roots music scene.
This event is supported in part by a grant from the Oshkosh Area Community Foundation and the
Wisconsin Arts Board with funds from the State of Wisconsin and the National Endowment for the Arts.
