Mikaela Nummerdor, a Wisconsin-based artist, graduated with her BFA from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in 2018. Since then, she has exhibited her work in various shows across the Midwest and has been featured in several publications. This exhibition marks her first solo show, a significant milestone in her artistic adventure. Drawing inspiration primarily from nature, Mikaela approaches her subjects through a unique abstract lens. Her process-driven work emphasizes the formal qualities of art, thus allowing her to explore the beauty and complexity of the natural world. Influenced by Post-Impressionism, Mikaela seeks to capture the ephemeral essence of her surroundings, inviting viewers to experience a new perspective on familiar landscapes.
Please join Mikaela for an artist reception on Saturday, November 16, from 5-7 pm. This event is open to the public; a cash bar will be available. Green Lake’s historic Thrasher Opera House will host the exhibit through December 31, 2024. This exhibit can be viewed M-F 10-4; for after-hour visits, call 920.294.4279 to schedule a time.
