Peter Fletcher in Concert: Music of Four Centuries

Ripon, WI

Enjoy the musical stylings of Peter Fletcher in concert on Sunday, October 15 at 2:00 P.M. at the Ripon Public Library. This concert is free and open to the public thanks to the funding provided by the Friends of the Ripon Public Library.

Peter Fletcher is a classical guitarist based in Detroit and New York City. He performs over 100 concerts a year, and his recordings on the Centaur Records and Towerhill Recordings labels have been critically acclaimed.

Peter’s recital earlier this year, at the prestigious Carnegie Hall in New York, was extremely well received, and on May 6th, 2018, he will perform a solo recital on the Cathedral Cultural Series, at the Cathedral of the Most Blessed Sacrament in Detroit, MI.

Peter offers an audience friendly, solo recital featuring repertoire that runs the gamut from the Renaissance Period through the 20th Century.

His current recital program features the Prelude from Cello Suite No. 1 and Lute Suite No. 3 by J. S. Bach, Paganini’s exciting and ever popular Caprice No. 24, the fiendishly difficult Five Bagatelles by British composer William Walton, and the great Spanish masterwork Cordoba by Isaac Albeniz. Peter will also perform some of his transcriptions from his Satie album, released on Centaur Records, CRC 2731, and works by Dowland, Llobet and Segovia.

His interests outside of music include reading, house decorating, gardening and fountain pens.
