Marine Biology: A Shedd Aquarium High School Learning Experience

Tuesday, December 12 at 6:30 P.M.

Discover the impressive educational adventure that one local high school student had this past summer. Join Danika Steggall at the Ripon Public Library on Tuesday, December 12 at 6:30 P.M. as she shares a travelogue of her trip to the Bahamas with the Shedd Aquarium's exclusive High School Marine Biology Program. Living aboard the Shedd's research vessel, Ms. Steggall was able to explore aquatic life in the Bahamas, research scientific techniques, and learn about environmental issues during her experience as a marine science researcher. Highlights include a visit to the Bimini Shark Lab, swimming with sharks, and working with the Dolphins Communication Project.

Free and open to the public. Call the library at 748-6160 or contact Mandy Sprague at msprague@riponlibrary.org for more information.
