GRAMMY Winners BeauSoleil avec Michael Doucet to Perform at Thrasher
Green Lake, Wis. (January 22, 2024) - For the past 50 years, BeauSoleil avec Michael Doucet has been making some of the most potent and popular Cajun music on the planet. They return to the historic Thrasher Opera House on Friday, February 23, 2024, at 7:30 p.m.
BeauSoleil avec Michael Doucet’s performance is supported by the Arts Midwest Gig fund, the Wisconsin Arts Board with funds from the State of Wisconsin, and the National Endowment for the Arts. On Saturday, February 24, at 10 a.m., enjoy a special outreach opportunity with BeauSoleil avec Michael Doucet for a questions and answer experience in French. This outreach will happen at the Caestecker Public Library at 518 Hill St., Green Lake. This tailored experience invites French students and community members to engage directly with the musicians, explore Cajun music's profound connection to French culture, and enrich their cultural understanding. Don't miss this exclusive opportunity to delve into the vibrant world of BeauSoleil and expand your musical appreciation! This event is free and open to the public.
