Grammy Winner Mike Farris to Perform at Thrasher Opera House
Green Lake, Wis. (April 17, 2023) – Grammy-winning Roots, Gospel, Soul, Blues, and Rocker Mike Farris
will perform at Thrasher Opera House in Green Lake, Wisconsin, on Friday, May 05, at 7:30 p.m. Farris is
an artist’s artist, a musician’s musician, celebrated and revered by his fellow performers. It’s no wonder.
He’s the one who brings everything to his music and every live performance, every time.
Mike is an Americana, Grammy, and Dove Award-winner with multiple solo recordings, including his
latest, “Silver and Stone.” His iconic personal appearances include the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame
concert honoring Aretha Franklin. He was featured on Patty Griffin's Grammy-winning “Downtown
Church” and appeared with Griffin on Austin City Limits. He shared the stage with Kenny Wayne
Shepherd and Double Trouble on the Austin City Limits Hall of Fame special and made his Grand Ole
Opry debut in 2018. An amalgamation of the spiritual and the earthly, gospel, and rock ‘n’ roll, of faith
and fire, Mike Farris will bring what Rolling Stone Country describes as a “supersized voice filled with the
electricity of Saturday night and the godly grace of Sunday mornings.” Farris recently joined back up
with his group, the Screamin’ Cheetah Wheelies, for upcoming festival dates in 2023.
This event is supported in part by a grant from the Oshkosh Area Community Foundation and the
Wisconsin Arts Board with funds from the State of Wisconsin and the National Endowment for the Arts.
In addition, artist hospitality is provided by Murphy’s on Green, Creative Contractors, and the Heidel
House Hotel & Conference Center.
