A United States Navy Veteran will be the keynote speaker at the upcoming Fairwater Historical Society Veterans Day program.
Dan Sanders will share about his military service on Saturday, November 11 at 1 p.m. The program will be held in the Fairwater Historical Society Museum, located at 106 Main Street, Fairwater.
A former Waupun resident who now lives in Johnson Creek, Sanders served in the Navy from 1983–2004, retiring as a Chief Petty Officer. Having been around the world twice, he's served in the Persian Gulf, Hawaii, Guam, Japan, and stateside in San Diego, California.
Light refreshments will be served. No admission fee will be charged, but donations to the Fairwater Historical Society are appreciated. Donations can be given at the event, or mailed to Fairwater Historical Society, P.O. Box 151, Fairwater, WI 53931.
