Meets the last Monday of the month at 2 pm

Stitching Together Group

Knitting/crocheting/needlework group that meets the last Tuesday of the month at 2 pm

Library News

10th Annual Quilt Show

Monday, March 10 - Saturday, March 22

Come view the quilts on display at our 10th Annual Quilt Show! This year's theme is "Reach for the Stars." Vote on your favorite quilt in different categories from March 10 through March 15. We will be giving prizes for quilts in 3 categories: Bed Quilts, Wall Hangings, and Best "Reach for the Stars" Quilt! Winners will be announced by March 18, but quilts will remain on display until March 22.

Friends of the Library Spring Book Sale

Opens Monday, March 10 at Noon - Saturday, March 22

Browse and buy from a selection of used books, DVDs, and other media. This sale will also feature a large amount of children’s books! All sales will be a free will offering; you pay what you think is fair. The book sale will be set up on the 2nd floor mezzanine and will be open during library operating hours. All proceeds benefit the Berlin Public Library. Thank you for your support!

Adult Programs

Gardening with Climate Change in Mind

Tuesday, March 11 at 5:30 pm

 

Join us for this free presentation! Jacob Kluza, Horticulture Education with UW-Madison Extension of Winnebago County, will address emerging challenges such as local climate changes, soil health, plant management and ways we homeowners and gardeners can create more resilient landscapes. This program is sponsored by Green Lake County Home and Community Education and the Berlin Public Library. No registration required.

Vintage Quilt Bed Turning:

Quilts of the 1930s

Saturday, March 15 at 10 am

 

Allison Rainboth, quilt historian and national quilting judge, will present information on vintage quilts from the 1930s. If you have a 1930s quilt you would like included in the program, please call 920-361-5420!

Friday Matinee - Conclave

Friday, March 14 at 1 pm

Join us for a free showing of Conclave (rated PG). Popcorn will be provided.

Speed Puzzling Competition:

300-Piece Edition

Saturday, March 29 at 10 am

Race against other teams to complete a 300-piece puzzle in 60 minutes. 1st and 2nd place prizes will be awarded to the teams that complete their puzzles first! *Team captains must register their teams of up to 3 players by March 27. Spots are limited. Call 920-361-5420 to register!*

Youth & Teen Programs

Pop-Up Book Crafting

Tuesday, March 25 from 1-3:30 pm

Have you ever wondered how pop-up books are made? Well now you can find out! Come to the library to create your very own pop-up book! This event is for anyone under age 13, but ages 10 and under need a helping adult.

Moana Movie Marathon

Saturday, March 22 at 2 pm &

Thursday, March 27 at 5 pm

Come to the library for a free showing of Moana (PG) on March 22 at 2 pm. Then, come back for the sequel, Moana 2 (PG), on Thursday, March 27 at 5 pm! Free pizza will be provided on the 27th.

*Registration is requested for the March 27 showing of Moana 2.*

Teen Backpack Decorating

Friday, March 28 from 1-3:30 pm

Get ready to go back to school by showing your personality through your backpack! Bring your own backpack and use our craft supplies to decorate it! Supplies will include patches, fabric markers and paint, keychains, and more! This event is for teens (Grade 6 and up), but ages 7-10 are welcome to participate with a helping adult.

Teen Library Club

Thursday, March 20 at 2 pm

Meet with other teens and create and run your own programs at the library! 6th-12th graders interested in joining should contact Makayla at youthservices@berlinlibrary.org
