  Leadership Fond du Lac County, a program of Envision Greater Fond du Lac, named Dan Shea (’09) as the 2025 recipient of the Donald G. Jones Leadership Alumni Award. Shea was presented with the award during the Leadership Fond du Lac County Completion Ceremony on Wednesday, May 21 at South Hills Golf & Country Club in Fond du Lac.

The Donald G. Jones Leadership Alumni Award was created in 2001 and honors the former area businessman who played a major role in founding and supporting the Leadership Fond du Lac program. This award, made possible by Horicon Bank, recognizes a past graduate of the Leadership Fond du Lac County program for the effort they have put forth in helping improve their community through volunteer service and utilization of their leadership abilities.

Dan Shea is a master electrician and owner of Shea Electric & Communications LLC. Shea has a passion for the ever-changing world of technology and takes pride in providing excellent customer service. Shea combines that innovation with his team’s experience and commitment to customer service, to deliver a winning combination for every electrical and communications challenge.

Dan is active in a variety of volunteer and community-based initiatives in both Oshkosh and Fond du Lac including membership with TEC/Vistage, his role as current Chairman of the Fox Valley Division of WI NECA, and service on the Board of Directors for the WI National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) and Horicon Bank. Dan has also been involved with organizations like Thelma Sadoff Center for the Arts, Day by Day Warming Shelter, the Oshkosh Chamber of Commerce, the Greater Oshkosh Economic Development Corporation, Envision Greater Fond du Lac, and the Boys and Girls Club of Oshkosh. Dan has actively sponsored programming for Young Professionals of Fond du Lac (YPF) and served as a volunteer speaker for Leadership Fond du Lac County.

Dan, with his team at Shea Electric, also participate in educational opportunities, including sponsorship and support of Fond du Lac High School’s Ace Academy, and a leadership event hosted in fall of 2024 featuring the Chalmers Brothers featuring insight on “Language that Creates.”

Leadership Fond du Lac County, a program of Envision Greater Fond du Lac, is currently accepting applications for the 2025-2026 class, a nine-month program that provides information and experiences to individuals who are willing to commit to serving their community. Accepted applicants learn about local institutions and issues and put their skills and knowledge to use through the required small-group community project. Through the program, individuals develop leadership, interpersonal and communications skills, and develop a strong network throughout the community.
