A 40-year-old Fond du Lac man is in custody suspected of shooting at a vehicle with two people in it. According to the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office their Dispatch Center received a 911 call from a residence on Marys Avenue in the Town of Empire at 1 am this morning. The caller said a man had fired a single round from a handgun into the tire of a vehicle parked in the driveway. Two people were in the vehicle at the time. The suspect left the scene but was located nearby and taken into custody during a traffic stop. A handgun was recovered. The investigation revealed there had been an altercation at the residence. A spent shell casing was found in the driveway, and a bullet was located underneath the vehicle’s tire. There were no injuries. The suspect and the vehicle occupants knew each other. The suspect was taken to the County Jail. Charges being referred against him include recklessly endangering safety, discharging a firearm into a vehicle, pointing a firearm at another, criminal damage to property, disorderly conduct, carrying a concealed weapon, marijuana possession, and possession of hallucinogenic substances.
