19 May 2025 News
Memorial Day weekend is getting a boost of excitement at Town Square with Armed Forces Bingo, where community spirit meets big-time winnings. Join the fun on Saturday, May 31 at 492 Hill Street, Green Lake for a high-energy night that honors our veterans and features a jackpot expected to exceed $6,000. Doors and concessions open at 5 p.m., card sales begin at 5:30 p.m., and games start at 6:30 p.m.
This special evening honors our veterans and active-duty service members, with a free drink offered to every veteran in attendance. The night features 13 exciting bingo games, including speedy rounds and a progressive blackout jackpot. The progressive jackpot is $5,209 plus half the night’s progressive sales if Bingo is called in 57 numbers or less, with a consolation prize of $200.
“Bingo brings people together in the best way—there’s laughter, a little healthy competition, and a whole lot of heart,” Phil Burkart, an avid Town Square Bingo volunteer and veteran himself, shared his enthusiasm. “I’m proud to be part of a night that salutes those who’ve served and gives back to the community I love.”
Concessions will be available for purchase, including Sheboygan hot dogs, chips, beer, and wine. Carry-ins are not allowed. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to grab their favorite seats. Minors are welcome to play Bingo in Wisconsin but must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Bingo takes place at Town Square on the last Saturday of every month. Proceeds from the bingo games support Town Square, an award-winning community center located in the historic county courthouse buildings in the heart of downtown Green Lake. The mission of Town Square Community Center is to enrich the lives of the Green Lake community members, family, and friends by providing cultural, social, recreational, educational, and economic opportunities for people of all ages, while preserving our treasured historic building. Town Square is operated by Green Lake Renewal, Inc., a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.
