5/11/25 Fatal Accident in Winnebago County

Multiple 911 calls Saturday night reported a single vehicle accident on Highway 45, north of County Trunk Y in Winnebago County’s Town of Oshkosh. When deputies arrived they found a utility van on its roof, partially submerged in water. The sole occupant, the driver, was removed and was found to be deceased. Investigators believe the van was heading north on Highway 45 at a high rate-of-speed when it entered a ditch and rolled. The highway was closed for two-and-a-half hours. The crash was reported at 9:13 pm.
