RIPON MAN CHARGED WITH POSSESSING CHILD PORN

Ten counts of possession of child pornography have been brought against a 61-year-old Ripon man. According to the criminal complaint the charges against Wayne Dombrowski stem from two Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force Cybertips. Ripon police obtained a search warrant for suspected child pornography content uploaded from the social media site KiK under two usernames Dombrowski allegedly used. The content included seven images and three videos of prepubescent girls. The images were uploaded on, about, or between July 28th, 2024 and April 23rd, 2025. One of the Cybertips was originally investigated by the Green Lake County Sheriff’s Office, which upon learning Dombrowski lived in Ripon contacted Ripon Police. During his initial appearance in Fond du Lac County Court yesterday, Dombrowski posted a $15,000 cash bond. He will be back in court for a preliminary hearing on June 13th. FORMER WCI WARDEN PLEADS TO REDUCED CHARGE
The former Waupun Correctional Institution warden charged as part of an investigation into the deaths of two inmates has reached a plea agreement. Monday Randall Hepp pled no contest to a misdemeanor charge of violating state/county institution laws. That was reduced from an original charge of misconduct in office. He was found guilty and was ordered to pay a $500 fine and court costs. Nine employees of the prison were originally charged in connection with the deaths of the two inmates. The Dodge County Medical Examiner determined one of the deaths was a homicide. An autopsy determined the man died from malnutrition and dehydration. The other inmate was found in his cell 12 hours after suffering a stroke. Correctional Officer Sarah Ransbottom recently entered a similar plea deal. Charges against Correctional Sergeant Jeramie Chalker were dropped. Six others have cases making their way through the court system.

Fond du Lac Police Sunday apprehended two habitual shoplifters from Madison following a short vehicle pursuit. BLACK BEAR PLAYS THROUGH ROLLING MEADOWS GOLF COURSE

It’s not unusual to see wildlife on a golf course, but it was a different story when a black bear showed up in a tree on the Rolling Meadows Golf Course in Fond du Lac. Golf Course officials shut down nine holes hoping the bear would so-to-speak “play through.” They contacted the DNR and were advised by the USDA to “keep an eye on him from a distance.” Flyway Conference high school teams were supposed to play at Rolling Meadows Monday but played at South Hills Country Club instead. SENATOR JAGLER ON MILWAUKEE COUNTY JUDGE’S ARREST
State Senator John Jagler says the arrest of Milwaukee County Judge Hannah Dugan for allegedly obstructing ICE agents’ arrest of an undocumented immigrant will have repercussions beyond the courtroom. Eduardo Flores-Ruiz was in her courtroom for a misdemeanor domestic abuse case. Dugan allegedly allowed him and his attorney to exit the courthouse before ICE agents could arrest him. Jagler says ICE agents will arrest illegal immigrants in courthouses because they know they will be screened for weapons and have to be there for court appearances. Jagler says other judges are now considering following Dugan’s example including a Sawyer County judge who says she won’t hold court if ICE agents are going to be pulling people out of there. The state lawmaker from Watertown says if Judge Dugan is found guilty of obstructing justice the State Assembly could take a vote on holding a trial to remove her from office, which would be followed by a trial in the Senate. It would take a two-thirds vote of Senators to remove her from office.
