4/18/25 Attempted Murder in Oshkosh

Oshkosh Police have a 39-year-old Oshkosh man in custody suspected of trying to murder someone by firing a gun into a business in the 400 block of North Main Street early this morning. At 1:50 am police were called to the business occupied by a number of people. They learned a man had suffered a gunshot wound and the suspect fled on foot. The victim was taken to an area hospital and was expected to survive. They got a description of the suspect and with the help of the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office took the suspect into custody at 2:15 am. The man was taken to the County Jail on an attempted first-degree intentional homicide charge.
