Ripon, WI – The Ripon Public Library has announced that Director Alex Coggeshell will be stepping
down from her role in May. While her time in Ripon has been brief, Alex Coggeshell has made a lasting
impact during her tenure, leading key initiatives including staff development, community engagement,
and preparations for a major renovation project scheduled to begin this summer.
Alex Coggeshell shared that her decision is a personal one, driven by the opportunity to be closer to
family and take on a new role that aligns with her long-term professional goals.
“I want the community to know that the Library is in a strong, stable place and on a clear path forward,”
Alex Coggeshell said. “The renovation plans are progressing smoothly, and I’ve been working closely
with the Library Board, staff, and City leadership to ensure a thoughtful and seamless transition for the
next Director. The Ripon Public Library is well-positioned for continued success, with many exciting
developments on the horizon.”
During her tenure, Alex Coggeshell worked alongside staff and City officials to align the Library with
City policies, implement meaningful operational improvements, and strengthen community partnerships.
Her leadership has helped lay a solid foundation for the Library’s continued growth and success.
“I’ve truly enjoyed my time in Ripon,” Alex Coggeshell said. “This is such a warm, welcoming
community, and it’s been a privilege to work with such a supportive Library Board and City leadership.
The upcoming renovation will be a transformative step forward for the Ripon Public Library, and I’m
excited to see all the great things ahead for the Ripon community.”
The Library Board has begun the process of recruiting a new Director. In the meantime, Alex Coggeshell
will continue leading the library through the transition and remains committed to ensuring continuity of
service and progress on major initiatives
