Auburn and Duke remain atop the AP Top 25. The rest of the poll was a big jumble.
Auburn was the unanimous pick at No. 1 for the second straight week, receiving all 61 votes from a media panel in the poll released on Monday. The Tigers held the top spot for the eighth straight week following lopsided wins over Ole Miss and then-No. 17 Kentucky.
Duke was No. 2 for the second straight week after blowing out Miami and Florida State despite playing without guard Tyrese Proctor due to a bone bruise in his left knee.
No. 3 Houston moved up a spot after beating Texas Tech and Cincinnati, while Tennessee climbed to No. 4 following Jahmai Mashack’s last-second 3-pointer from well beyond halfcourt to beat Alabama 79-76.
Florida rounded out the top five, dropping two places after losing to Georgia and beating Texas A&M.
No. 8 Michigan State joined Auburn and Duke as the only teams to have the same ranking as last week. No teams moved in or out of this week’s poll.
Wisconsin fell one spot to No. 12, while Marquette rose one spot to No. 20.
No. 14 Louisville made the biggest move of the week, climbing five places following wins over Virginia Tech and Pittsburgh. No. 13 Maryland moved up three places after losing to Michigan State by three on Tre Holloman’s last-second heave from beyond midcourt and beating Penn State.
No. 22 Texas A&M had by far the biggest drop, losing 10 places after losing to Vanderbilt and Florida, stretching its losing streak to four straight. No other team dropped more than two places.
Linebacker Isaiah McDuffie is staying with the Green Bay Packers.
Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst announced Monday that the team had re-signed McDuffie, who has spent his entire NFL career in Green Bay. Terms weren’t announced, but a person familiar with the situation told The Associated Press it’s a two-year, $8 million deal.
ESPN first reported that McDuffie and the Packers had agreed to terms.
McDuffie was due to become an unrestricted free agent if he hadn’t reached a deal with the Packers, who selected him out of Boston College in the sixth round of the 2021 draft.
McDuffie, 25, started all 17 games for the Packers this past season and ranked second on the team with a career-high 97 tackles. He also had three tackles for loss, three passes defensed and a forced fumble.
He also started the Packers’ 22-10 NFC wild-card playoff loss at Philadelphia and had six tackles and half a sack in that game.
McDuffie played more than 64% of the Packers’ defensive snaps and more than 28% of their special teams snaps. His playing time dipped late in the season, in part to the emergence of rookie second-round pick Edgerrin Cooper.
McDuffie started eight games and made 86 tackles in 2023. His first career start came in 2022.
The Packers still have one more pending free agent linebacker in Eric Wilson, who started 12 games and had 72 tackles (seven for loss), two sacks, a forced fumble and an interception last season. Wilson, 30, played on just over half of the Packers’ defensive snaps and nearly three-quarters of their special teams snaps last season.
In spring training baseball the Reds beat the Brewers 5-4. Caleb Durbin and Vinny Capra hit home runs for the Brewers. The Brewers play the White Sox today with the first pitch at 2:10.
The Milwaukee Bucks are back in action tonight playing the Hawks in Atlanta. The Bucks are tied for 4th in the Eastern Conference with the Pacers at 34-25. Tipoff is at 6:30 CST.
Former New York Mets general manager Billy Eppler has joined the Milwaukee Brewers as a special adviser for scouting and baseball operations, according to a person familiar with the situation.
The person spoke on the condition of anonymity because the Brewers hadn’t announced the hire. SNY first reported Eppler was coming to Milwaukee.
Eppler was suspended last year after a Major League Baseball investigation concluded he directed Mets staff to fabricate injuries to create open roster spots, but that punishment expired after the 2024 World Series. He had resigned as the Mets’ general manager in October 2023 amid that investigation, three days after owner Steve Cohen hired David Stearns as president of baseball operations. Stearns held the president of baseball operations title with the Brewers before stepping down at the end of the 2022 season..
Eppler joined the Mets in November 2021 after working as the Los Angeles Angels’ general manager from 2015-20. The Mets went 101-61 and earned an NL wild-card playoff berth in 2022, but slumped to 75-87 the following year despite having a $355 million payroll at the start of that season.
Eppler also has worked in scouting and player development with the Colorado Rockies and as the New York Yankees’ director of professional scouting and assistant general manager.
He now joins a Brewers organization that’s chasing a third straight NL Central title.. Matt Arnold, selected as MLB’s executive of the year last season, has been the Brewers’ president of baseball operations since October 2022 after previously serving as Stearns’ right-hand man.

As part of his 2025-2027 biennial state budget, Gov. Tony Evers is proposing an increase in license fees for those activities.
This would be the DNR’s ‘s first Wisconsin resident license increase since 2005. Most licenses will go up between $10 and $20.
For example, an annual resident fishing license will go from $20 to $30, while a resident deer license will go from $22 to $42.
The price increases are expected to generate $75 million over the biennium in additional revenue. Money would be used to help pay for wildlife and conservation projects, according to Evers’ proposal.
If the proposal passes, fees would go into effect March 1, 2026.

Johnson’s coaching career started in 1965 as an assistant at Louisiana Tech, Bradshaw’s alma mater. He became a head coach for the first time in 1979, at Oklahoma State, and left after five years for Miami, where he went 52-9 with two No. 2 finishes to go with his 1987 title.
