3/29/25 Skeletal Remains Investigation Yields Two Arrests

Two arrests have been made in connection with the discovery of the skeletal remains of 33-year-old Tiffeny M. Schneider of Wautoma. A search warrant was executed in the Town of Leon in Waushara County. As a result, 57-year-old Jerry Wendler (pictured top) and 48-year-old Wade Mc Lees (pictured below) were taken into custody. Wendler is facing charges of felon in possession of a firearm, methamphetamine possession, marijuana possession second offense, receiving or concealing stolen property, possession of drug paraphernalia, and he was wanted on a warrant through the state’s Department of Community Corrections. Mc Lees is charged with methamphetamine possession, three felony counts of bail jumping, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Mc Lees also has three open felony cases out of Adams County and two open cases in Waushara County. Wendler is being held in the Waushara County Jail on a $2,000 cash bond with an initial court hearing on April 16th and Mc Lees is being held in the jail on a $1,000 cash bond with an initial court hearing on April 22nd. Tiffeny Schneider’s body was discovered in the Town of Leon on March 13th.
