3/25/25 Barn Fire in the Town of Theresa

The Theresa Fire Department, Mayville EMS and mutual aid partners were dispatched at 1:07 this morning to a working barn fire in the Town of Theresa. The fire was at N7596 Plover Road in Mayville. When Fire Chief Warren Stanke arrived, the barn was fully engulfed and partially collapsed. Theresa’s first arriving engine crew extinguished a fire extending into a neighboring cut cornfield. Mutual aid companies assisted with extinguishing the fire, water supply, traffic control, road salting, and excavation operations. Brownsville and Horicon Fire Departments provided fire protection for the Town and Village of Theresa during the incident. The cause of the fire is under investigation. No one was injured during the incident and no residents were displaced. A damage estimate was not available. (Iron Ridge Fire Department photo).
