Milwaukee Bucks at Golden State Warriors
Last night, the Milwaukee offense struggled in crunch time, leaving the team with a low chance to grab a win on the road. Facing the Warriors, who were missing Stephen Curry who was out for some rest, the Bucks had a clear opportunity to take control early on. However, the offense faltered when they were most needed, leading to a narrow margin that was difficult to overcome.
The leading scorer for the Bucks was Kyle Kuzma who had 22 points, followed by Antetokounmpo, 20, and Damian Lillard, 16.
A big reason for Antetokounmpo’s struggles in the game was Draymond Green. The 35 year-old defensive star started the game with a block on Antetokounmpo’s first shot attempt. Green would rack up a total of 3 blocks in the first four and a half minutes of the game with two of them on Giannis, while the other one was on a Taurean Prince shot. While playing this great defense, Green didn’t commit a single foul in the first half.
With this loss, the Bucks have now lost five of their last seven games and fell to a 30-30 record. Milwaukee also fell to 5th place in the east and are only a half game ahead of the 6th place Detroit Pistons.
The Bucks will look to get back in the win column as they travel to Los Angeles to face the Lakers on Thursday night.
The Green Bay Packers are adding former Kansas City Chiefs receiver Mecole Hardman on a one-year deal, according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler. The three-time Super Bowl champion turned 27 years old less than one week ago. He had 500 or more receiving yards in each of his first three seasons in the league but has had only 214 receiving yards and caught zero touchdowns in the last two regular seasons. Hardman is perhaps best known for catching the game-winning overtime touchdown for the Chiefs in Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas.
Green Bay Packers fan favorite A. J. Dillion is leaving the team after signing a free-agent contract with the Philadelphia Eagles. Due to injury, he didn’t play a down for the Pack this past season. But the so-called “Mayor of Door County” had a lot of love for Packer fans. He posted a heart-felt message on Instagram Monday saying, “Wisconsin became so much more than just the place I played football — it became home,” he wrote. “It was an honor to wear the ‘G’ and represent such a special organization. I’m grateful for the relationships built, the lessons learned and the unwavering support from Packers fans everywhere. You embraced me and my family from day one, and we are forever thankful.”
The Milwaukee Brewers dropped their second spring game in a row falling to the Seattle Mariners Tuesday 9 to 3. Up next they will host the Chicago White Sox this afternoon at 3:10 pm.
