GREEN LAKE, WI, — Town Square is thrilled to showcase the work of Wisconsin artist Lauren Schmid as the featured artist in the Town Square Lobby Gallery throughout March. Located at 492 Hill St., Green Lake, the gallery is open to the public Monday through Friday from 9 AM – 5 PM and Saturday from 9 AM – 1 PM.
Schmid, a Central Wisconsin native, has been creating art since she was a toddler. She honed her skills at the American Academy of Art in Chicago before continuing her artistic journey through various mediums, including painting, mixed media sculpture, fiber arts, block printing, and jewelry making.
“We’re excited to display Lauren’s work in our front lobby,” said Town Square Programs Coordinator Zoe Niemuth. “Her expressive and ever-evolving style sparks conversation and curiosity, making her a perfect fit for this community space.”
Schmid’s art is deeply personal, often shifting with her emotions and experiences. While she gravitates toward abstract and free-flowing designs, she also explores whimsical grotesque imagery, textured plaster compositions, and vibrant, carefree brushstrokes. Each piece is a reflection of her artistic exploration, driven by her own creative needs.
The Town Square Lobby Gallery is dedicated to supporting local and regional artists, providing a platform to share their work with the community.
