Last night, in the closing seconds of the game, the Milwaukee Bucks seemed like they were going to get a win against the Indiana Pacers. That was until the Pacers inbounded the ball to a moving Tyreese Haliburton who knocked down a falling down 3-pointer while getting fouled by Giannis Antetokounmpo. Haliburton went to the line for the rare 4-point play and made the free throw with the game on the line to give the Pacers the 115-114 win.

The initial play to get Haliburton open on the inbound almost looked as though it was taken out of a football playbook. “It’s like a football play,” Haliburton said, noting that his teammates ran crossing routes. “It was great to see it work. The first time we ever ran the play in training camp two years ago, I made the shot the same way. I haven’t got the ball since. I usually hate running the play.”

Haliburton said that the shot was something that you dream of as a kid and he is thankful that his teammates trusted him. One of those teammates being Pascal Siakam, who was amazed by Haliburton’s shot, “Just impossible angle, over Giannis,” Siakam said. “I don’t think he can even see over him.”

With this heartbreaking loss, the Bucks fall to a 36-28 record on the season. Along with that, the Bucks are now only a half a game ahead of both the Pacers and the Pistons in the Eastern Conference Standings.

The Bucks will look to end this losing streak back at home against the Los Angeles Lakers (40-23) on Thursday, March 13th.

The Milwaukee Bucks issued a statement yesterday about the passing of Bucks legend and owner Junior Bridgeman. In they say, “Junior’s retired Number 2 jersey hangs in Fiserv Forum, serving as a constant remembrance of his outstanding play on the court and his impact on the Bucks’ success. His hard work and perseverance led him to become of the nation’s top business leaders and, last September, Junior’s professional life came full circle when he returned to the Bucks family as an owner. His memory will always be an inspiration to the Bucks organization. Bridgeman played 10 years for Milwaukee. Junior Bridgeman was 71 years old.

The Milwaukee Brewers turned things around yesterday beating the Chicago Cubs 9 to 7. The Brewers are off today, they will play the Chicago White Sox Thursday. The game starts at 3:05 pm. The Brew Crew is 8 and 9 in Cactus League play.

Speaking of the Brewers, Milwaukee outfielder and designated hitter Christian Yelich says coming back from back surgery at age 33 he can still contribute. Yelich feels he can still play at a pretty high level. He says he was playing at a high level when he got hurt last year. He feels it is just a matter of going out and doing it.
