1/4/25 Disturbance in Oshkosh Leads to Police Presence

Update:
Oshkosh Police have released more details about a disturbance in the 1000 block of Oregon Street this morning. A 23-year-old Oshkosh man discharged a firearm inside of his residence during a disturbance. No one was injured during the incident. Officers were able to make contact with him and he was taken into custody without incident. He was subsequently taken to the Winnebago County Jail on multiple criminal charges.

Oshkosh Police say a male is in custody following an active situation in the City this morning which led to a large police presence. No details were released about the situation in the 1000 block of Oregon Street, but residents were asked to avoid the area while it was going on. However, they also said they did not feel the public was in any real danger.
