The Packers are back on the practice field today getting ready for Sunday’s showdown in Minneapolis against the Vikings. Green Bay (11-4) is third in the NFC North behind the 13-2 Vikings and Lions. The Packers are coming off 34-0 shutout over the Saints Monday night at Lambeau Field.

Packers wide receiver Christian Watson, who suffered a knee injury against Seattle and then came back in for a few plays, did not suffer a serious injury and may be able to play against Minnesota.

There were two games Christmas.

In the first game, the Chiefs beat the Steelers in Pittsburgh 29-10 as quarterback Patrick Mahomes was 29 of 3 for 320 yards and three touchdowns  as the Chiefs locked up the #1 seed in the AFC. Tight end Travis Kelce caught 8 passes for 84 yards and a touchdown, which was his 77th to move into first place in franchise history. He  became the 15th player to reach 1,000 career receptions and just the third TE. He ended Wednesday with 1,004 career catches, putting him at 14th all time as he surpassed former Pittsburgh Steeler Hines Ward (1,000).

Kansas City improves to 15-1 while Pittsburgh deops to 10-5.

In the second game the Ravens demolished the Texans in Houston 31-2.  Lamar Jckson became the all-time leading rusher at the quarterback position during Wednesday’s dominant 31-2 win over the Houston Texans, passing Mike Vick (6,109) with a six-yard scramble in the third quarter to bring his career total to 6,110.

Jackson was 10 of 15 for 168 yards and two touchdowns. Derrick Henry rushed 27 times for 147 yards and a score.

Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud completed 17 of 31 passes for 185 yards and an interception as the Texans fall to 9-7.

In Thursday Night Football Seattle is at Chicago to take on the Bears. The Seahawks are 8-7 while the Bears are 4-11.

In the NBA tonight the Bucks host the Nets. Milwaukee is 16-12 while New Jersey is 11-18.
