Dodge County Sheriff’s officials say a 23-year-old Milwaukee man driving impaired was seriously injured when he went through a stop sign and his car was hit by a semi. It happened Tuesday afternoon at the intersection of Goodland Road and County Road N. The Milwaukee man suffered life-threatening-injuries. Hartford EMS took him to a hospital and later Flight for Life flew him to Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa. The 35-year-old Wheeling, Illinois man driving the semi was not injured. Investigators say the Milwaukee man was driving north on Goodland Road and failed to stop at the stop sign. The semi was heading west on County Road N. The car was pushed into a ditch where both vehicles came to rest. The Milwaukee man was arrested for operating while impaired, first offense. The accident occurred about 5 pm Tuesday.
