The Packers are off today before starting to get ready for the Arizona Cardinals Sunday at Lambeau Field.  Green Bay (3-2) is coming off a road win over the Rams (1-4) 24-19. The Cardinals (2-3), are also coming off a road win over the 49ers Sunday, 24-23.

Meanwhile, Packers coach Matt LaFleur said Monday that he had a “productive” meeting with Romeo Doubs and expects the third-year receiver to be back with the team when it returns to practice Wednesday. The Packers handed Doubs a one-game suspension for conduct detrimental to the team after he didn’t attend practice on Thursday or Friday.

“It’s a pretty isolated incident,” said LaFleur, who didn’t go into details about his conversation with Doubs. “This has not happened with him before and I don’t expect it to happen moving forward.”

The receiving depth was one of the Packers’ biggest strengths heading into the season, but Green Bay (3-2) suddenly had a shortage of targets Sunday with Doubs suspended and Christian Watson out because of an ankle injury.

The Packers’ leading receiver in their 24-19 victory over the Los Angeles Rams was tight end Tucker Kraft with four catches for 88 yards. Jayden Reed was the top wideout, with four catches for 78 yards, but Green Bay’s other wideouts combined for just 46 yards receiving.

Tthe Packers also announced Monday they have released CB Robert Rochell. Rochell was on the Packers’ practice squad the entire season before being signed to the active roster on Saturday. He has appeared in three games for Green Bay this season, two as a game day elevation.

In  Monday Night Football, the Kansas City Chiefs (5-0) remain unbeaten after winning at home 26-13 over the New Orleans Saint (2-3). The Chiefs piled up 460 yards of offense, but they hey failed to produce a touchdown on four straight trips to the red zone Monday night, and missed a field goal, allowing the Saints to stay in the game..

Patrick MaHomes completed 28 of 39 passes for 331 yards, with no touchdowns and one interception.

JuJu Smith Schuster finished with seven catches for 130 yards Monday night, marking his first 100-plus-yard game since Week 7 of the 2022 season, during his last stint with Kansas City. Smith-Schuster went 24 games without breaking the 100-yard mark prior to Monday. Tight end Travis Kelce caught 9 passes for 70 yards.

The Saints Derek Carr was 18 of 28 for 165 yards with 2 touchdowns and an interception, before leaving the game with an oblique injury and left the game with six minutes left to play. Rasheed  Shaheed had 4 receptions for 86 yards and a score. The Saints managed just 46 yards rushing.

Kansas City’s defense Milwaukee pressured Saints quarterbacks 21 times.

In the American League Divisional Series, the Tigers shutout the Indians in Cleveland, 3-0 to tie their series at a game apiece. In the other American League divisional game, the Royals won at New York over the Yankees, 4-2, to even up their series at a game each.

The National League Divisional Series continues tonight play in New York with the Phillies against the Mets. That series is tied a game each and the Dodgers play San Diego, with that series also knotted at a game apiece.

The Wisconsin Herd, NBA G League affiliate of the Milwaukee Bucks, has acquired the returning player rights to Liam Robbins from the Birmingham Squadron in exchange for the returning player rights to Marquese Chriss and a first-round pick in the 2025 NBA G League Draft.

Robbins, a 7-0, 250-pound center started his college career at Drake University where he averaged 9.4 points and 5.0 rebounds across two seasons (2018-19 and 2019-20). For his junior season (2020-21), Robbins transferred to the University of Minnesota and appeared in 23 games with averages of 11.7 points, 6.6 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game. Following his time with the Gophers, Robbins transferred to Vanderbilt for two seasons. For his final season in college, Robbins posted averages of 15.0 points and 6.8 rebounds per game and was named 2023 SEC Defensive Player of the Year.

The Wisconsin Herd, also acquired the returning player rights to Sam Merrill and a second-round pick in the 2025 NBA G League Draft from the Cleveland Charge in exchange for the returning player rights to Elijah Hughes. Merrill, a 6-4, 205-pound guard was drafted by the New Orleans Pelicans in the 2020 NBA Draft before being traded to the Milwaukee Bucks where he appeared in 30 games during the 2020-21 season averaging 3.0 points and 1.0 rebounds. In August 2021, Merrill was traded to the Memphis Grizzles where he appeared in six games during the 2021-22 season. Following his time with the Grizzles, the Utah native was selected first overall in the 2023 NBA G League Draft by the Cleveland Charge and appeared in 39 games averaging 17.0 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game during the 2022-23 season. In March 2023, Merrill signed a 10-day contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers which was later converted to a standard contract. Most recently, Merrill appeared in 61 games for the Cavaliers posting 8.0 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game during the 2023-24 season.
