A stop at the Island Resort & Casino in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula is one a Wautoma woman will never forget. Thursday afternoon Deanna Juday won $630,084.36 in a progressive slots jackpot game. The Whitney Houston slots game is new to the casino and bells rang, a Whitney tune played, and the winning amount flashed on the game’s screen after Deanna placed a $3 bet. Before she left Wisconsin, Deanna told her family she was going to the Island Casino to win the progressive slots jackpot. Casino officials say she believes the win now gives her an incredible opportunity to pay it forward and help others.
