9/11/24 Third Person Convicted in Ripon Drug Overdose Death

A former Ripon man pled no contest Tuesday to all four counts he is charged with stemming from the overdose death of an 18-year-old Ripon man in April of last year. Twenty-three-year-old Michael Manske pled no contest to first-degree reckless homicide, maintaining a drug trafficking place, possession of THC and drug paraphernalia charges during the hearing in Fond du Lac County court. He will be sentenced on January 21st. Manske, Joseph Schmidt-Rehbein, and Maison Springston have been convicted of charges related to the overdose death. Olivia Nordvold has a plea hearing, November 11th and Donavyn Mueller is scheduled for a five-day jury trial on November 4th. According to the criminal complaint the victim took a pill believed to be Percocet at a Ripon home and overdosed. He was taken from the residence and left on a sidewalk. The pill contained fentanyl. Manske is also facing child exploitation and exposing genital charges in Green Lake County court. He has a status hearing in that case on December 10th.
