8/6/24 Description of Motorcycle Wanted by FDL County Sheriff’s Deputies

6 August 2024 News

More information has been released about the type of motorcycle that was used to elude Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s deputies twice over the past weekend. It is believed the bike was going 130 miles an hour during the second pursuit Saturday that lasted 6 miles. The motorcycle was described as a Yamaha MT-09.  It is now believed the bike was a Kawasaki Z900 possibly a 2024 or a 2021 model. Both large bug-like mirrors may have been removed and it may have mirrors on the end of the handle bar instead. The long fender that normally would hold the license plate has also been removed and if the bike has a license plate it would be attached under the tail on a bracket known as a fender eliminator kit. Another distinct characteristic of the “Z’ series is the rear tail lamp when illuminated makes a “Z.” The biggest difference to look for is the forks, how the handle bars are attached to the front wheel. The Z900 has silver near the bottom of the fork versus the top. Anyone with information about the motorcycle is asked to call the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office at 920-929-3390. You can also leave an anonymous tip at 920-906-4777.  (Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s supplied photos). Previous story.
