8/24/24 Fatal Accident in Columbia County

The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office is holding a 24-year-old California man in its jail on a homicide by negligent operation of a vehicle charge following a fatal collision between a semi and passenger truck Friday morning. It happened at the intersection of County Highway M and County Highway E in the Town of Randolph. Aryan Chadha of Rancho Cucamonga, California was driving the semi north on County Highway M and failed to yield to the passenger truck which was going east on County Highway E. The driver of the passenger truck was taken to hospital where he later died. It is believed he was not wearing a seatbelt. A passenger in the passenger truck suffered minor injuries as did Chadha. Chadha was cooperative with the investigation and was subsequently arrested. The Wisconsin State Patrol assisted at the scene. (Columbia County Jail photo)
